Lars Eskesen was on the Management Board of Unibank, (now Nordea,) for 18 years, and from 1990-98 was the Deputy Chief Executive. Today, Mr. Eskesen is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Symbion Capital I A/S, the Advisory Board of Nordic Mezzanine Funds, Nordea Invest Management A/S and Nordea Invest, one of the largest Danish investment funds. He is a member of a number of other boards among others Dansk Erhvervsinvestering.A/S, the Soroe Academy Foundation and Danmarks Nationalbank’s Anniversary Foundation of 1968.
Mr. Eskesen has held a number of other senior positions, including the Chairmanships of the Danish Savings Banks Association (now: Danish Bankers Association) (1985-89), of Danish Payments Systems Ltd., PBS, (1989-93 and again from 1996-98), of "Danmarks Eksportfinansieringsfond" (the Danish Export Financing Fund) (1992-98) and of the Steering Committee of the Inter Alpha Group of Banks (1997-98). Moreover, Mr. Eskesen was member of the Board of Directors of the Banking Federation of the European Union, the Industrialization Fund for Developing Countries, LD Pensions, The Bank of Greenland, the Institute for Futures Studies, and BRF Kredit.
